This update focuses on numerous improvements to Campaigns. Here's a summary of the most recent changes:
- Added Campaign email tracking for emails opened
- This release allows embedding searchable folder fields directly into the Contact details page from the Admin module
- When inputting the "from" email address the following format can now be used: First Last <email@example.com>
- Campaign emails now have an explicit style automatically included so that the email is formatted best across multiple email clients (Yahoo IE7/8, Outlook 2007/2008)
- Importing Contacts will flag and exclude duplicate records
- Importing Account Contacts will flag and exclude duplicate records
- Importing contacts no longer requires a contact's name; useful when only the email address is known
There are also some fixes:
- Building a campaign by excluding contact types and/or account types failed if the contact had more than one type
- Leads that were converted to an Account Contact had an incorrect access type
- Thumbnail images could not be created when uploading certain images
The upgrade process for systems already using version 6.1 involves making sure there is a backup of the database and fileLibrary, then installing the 6.1 web application archive (.war) directly over the previous install. The application will upgrade any components.
