What may come as a surprise to many, is that Concursive is gearing up for releasing an update to the community version of ConcourseSuite CRM.

ConcourseSuite 5.0 from source is currently aligned with Tomcat 5.5 up to 5.5.25. To use it on 5.5.27 or any later version you will need to use the following tomcat variable in Tomcat's startup script...

export CATALINA_OPTS="-Djava.awt.headless=true -Dorg.apache.jasper.compiler.Parser.STRICT_QUOTE_ESCAPING=false"

ConcourseSuite 6.0 from source will have mostly everything that ConcourseSuite 5.0 Enterprise has (and a bit more) plus it will be aligned with Tomcat 6.

As of today, an official Concursive announcement is yet to be made, however I'd say within the next 30 days there will be more buzz about the CRM.

This will indeed be great and exciting news! The enterprise version has some really nice and powerful features that the community would love to see and will certainly appreciate.

do you have any new information about the CRM 6.0 Community Edition - when will it be available, what are the changes, do you have a list of bugfixes...

hope you can give us a bit of sugar.

Ok, so I'll blog about this soon enough, but in the meantime there is now a ConcourseSuite CRM Core... and instead of treating the Enterprise and Community as more or less separate, they will be united. This will make developing and customization easier.

Additionally, we're aiming towards much faster searching and integration of some of the ConcourseConnect features. There's a revamp to the Marketing/Communications module and some other simplification of the user experience.
