CRM 6 is currently in alpha stage.

In Alpha, the CRM works with Tomcat 6 and 5, Java 6 and 5, and with PostgreSQL.  The dependencies have been reduced and the performance has increased considerably.

With just a few more iterations of work, we'll release a beta so that the community can test the progress and report back any findings.

The features are starting to gel.  First up, Lucene is now powering the Account search, which provides a massive improvement over database searching.  Millions of records can be searched in a matter of milliseconds.  Next, the Marketing module has a concept of phases and is much more usable then before.  Finally, the Account Relationship model has been extended so that Accounts can be related to Contacts and Contacts can be related to Contacts.

There are many other items that we hope to get to.  My personal favorite is seeing if the developers can extend the portal to include crm pages.

What may come as a surprise to many, is that Concursive is gearing up for releasing an update to the community version of ConcourseSuite CRM.

ConcourseSuite 5.0 from source is currently aligned with Tomcat 5.5 up to 5.5.25.  To use it on 5.5.27 or any later version you will need to use the following tomcat variable in Tomcat's startup script...
export CATALINA_OPTS="-Djava.awt.headless=true -Dorg.apache.jasper.compiler.Parser.STRICT_QUOTE_ESCAPING=false"
ConcourseSuite 6.0 from source will have mostly everything that ConcourseSuite 5.0 Enterprise has (and a bit more) plus it will be aligned with Tomcat 6.
As of today, an official Concursive announcement is yet to be made, however I'd say within the next 30 days there will be more buzz about the CRM.

To facilitate the ongoing nature of the Community Edition, we have organized all documentation, discussions, downloads, and issues under this project.

Previously we started a new project around each release which resulted in good articles and responses being left behind.

The website is getting a few updates which should make finding, commenting, and rating information easier and useful for others.
