"survey not found" when not logged in

11/3/2005 6:04 AM EST

Great, I have just started my first survey and all the recipients cannot access the survey. I get:

Survey Not Found
The requested survey could not be found.
Please contact the person that sent you this link for more information.

SInce I only tested while I was logged in, it worked. The survey is only displayed when the person that is supposed to fill out the survey is actually logged in, which makes no sense to me since the survey goes out to people that have no user account.

What went wrong?

The log shows the following error:

PrivateString-> Error loading key at: /Library/Application Support/CentricCRM/fileLibrary/centric/null//keys/survey.key
java.lang.NullPointerException

We are finalizing a maintenance release which unfortunately includes this item. We are only waiting on the last two items to be completed before release...

previously only contacts with company names could be imported
- Added a new permission to view Quotes in the Pipeline module, this was left out
- Surveys could not be found when user clicked on link to take survey
- In Communications, the broadcast message type failed in new installations
- Resolves issue with duplicate ticket categories being generated in Admin
and removes duplicates during the upgrade
- Added selection for Czech and Finnish languages
- Community Edition MSSQL upgrade scripts failed on four scripts
- Community Edition PostgreSQL upgrade scripts failed on SQL scripts
- Corrects scheduled work flows not working in Group Edition
- Community Edition BSH scripts failed if the fileLibrary path was needed

I was able to work around the issue by creating a soft link on the file system that matched the path centrc was looking for

I would say "fortunately" not "unfortunately" ;-)
