Account Import from Centric Export

I posted this in the Feedback forum on 3/14 and have got no, ummm, feedback. if anyone can help I would be greatly appreciative. I need to export accounts and contacts from a Centric database and then import them into an empty Centric database. if I could get activities and Tasks as well that would be great but the minimum requirement is accounts, Contacts and Leads.

I have a CSV file that was created through the Centric Account export facility and can not map it to import through the Centric import facility. Some required fields are not mapped. When I click on the drop down to select the field to map it to the account fields in my CSV file do not display. Instead the Contact fields are displayed. It almost seems as though I have initiated a Contact import but I have made sure I am not. I did do a Contact import for these accounts already and that worked fine.

Any ideas would be great

Which version of Centric CRM are you using? If you are using v4.1, then there are a couple of command line scripts that need to be run. I can provide more information if you are using v4.1

Are you trying to backup centric and restore it onto another instance?

I am a salesperson working for 2 organizations that both use Centric. I currently have all of my leads, contacts and accounts in one database that is running version, Centric CRM 4.1 (2007-02-07). I would like to export the customers related to the other company I work for and import into the Centric of that company that is running version, 4.0 (2006-04-18). I hope I have made that as clear as mud so that you can help me. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to backup and restore Centric CRM 4.1.
Could you tell me how to do in Windows, Linux OS, PgSQL database?
