how do I know what Centric CRM 4.1 is using for the fileLibrary? is there a straighforward way to look this up or even change the location of the fileLibrary?

The path of the filelibrary is stored in a machine key.
Under linux you can see the path of filelibrary in prefs.xml. This file is stored under /$/.java/.userPrefs/org/aspcfs/modules/setup/utils
modifing this file, you can change the path of the filelibrary and tell to centric which fileLibrary must use.
Under windows you can see that in the register, under the java prefs.
