Add V Card

3/30/2008 8:23 PM EDT (edited)

I realize now that this belongs in the Module Discussion: Contacts section. Sorry. Rookie here.

Attempt 1: Export a contact record from Outlook 2002 to V Card.
Click Add V Card in Concourse.
Result: Invalid V Card file format.

Attempt 2: Export a contact record from Outlook 2003 to V Card.
Click Add V Card in Concourse.
Result: Invalid V Card file format.

Attempt 3: Export an existing V Card from the Concourse demo system (Gordon Allenson). Change name of file. Add it back.
Result: Success

Attempt 4: Take the same V Card file, open it in Outlook, change something - anything - and try again.
Result: Invalid V Card file format.

What exactly is a valid V Card file format?

Issac,

Can you open the exported vCards in a text editor, change any sensitive information (e.g., name, email, phone, etc..) and then copy them here so I can try to import them or identify what exactly is going wrong with the import process for you.

Please note that the import can only handle very basic vCards that contain only text - so any with embedded pictures or logos would probably fail.

I have this problem too. these are cards without any pictures or logos. But I was saving them from Outlook 2007
