Editing "Accounts" module

2/6/2008 8:37 AM EST

Hi,

Is it possible to edit the default fields in the "Accounts" module, and to what extent.
We're manufacturing ultralight aircraft, and I would prefer to make each aircraft we manufacture an Account, and be able to associate different Contacts (owners of that aircraft) with an active Account (being that specific aircraft). As opposed to the way Centric is set up by default to use a Contact (Customer) as the 'key' for the Account. Reason being is that aircraft frequently change hands and it's a more logical way for us to handle Accounts in that way, where a specific aircraft is the Account and a Contact associated with it is the current owner.

Thanks.

An account in ConcourseSuite can have multiple contacts associated with it. From the account detail screen there is a navigation bar on the right that has a contact tab. Here you can add as many contacts as needed.

Also the system is pretty flexible about renaming fields and modules. So you could rename Accounts to Aircraft. This can be done without any programming in the system.xml file in the application's fileLibrary.

See following discussion for more details on field manipulation:
