Conversion of Lead to Contact through Hosted Service

1/15/2008 7:10 AM EST

We have a hosted service and started using the Lead Module.

Having qualified the lead, we convert to 'Contact' with no success.

The option window appears - we select options - And Submit

...But nothing happens.

Any help would be very appreciated as we have over 1500 currently being processed!

There could be some error with it processing at the moment but a quick suggestion I have is to clear our your browser's cache. Tell me if that resolves your issue.

Sorry! No luck with clearing out the cache!

Thanks for the suggestion

This is a bug. I tested and received similar results, and created a ticket #970 in 5.0 QA Effort.

The lead is being converted to an account successfully, but it's not being removed from the overview table as it should be. If you go into the Contacts module though you should see the newly converted lead listed.

Thanks for your support!

Hi Lorraine,

We hoped that was the case.

However, your results of seeing the lead in the contacts module following submission is not the case in our hosted service.

Having 'clicked' the 'Save' button we see no response from the server at all and close the interface window with no changes to system :-(

Look forward to seeing what happens with the 'ticket'

Okay, I was using our 5.0 fixes branch when I tested the application. It may be the case that this is partially fixed in that branch, so hopefully the functionality will be completely restored in our next minor release.

I updated the ticket with the details, thanks for reporting this to us.

This bug does not occur if you have an instance install on your servers. This issue should be resolved after this weekend for the ondemand accounts.
