Changing currency in hosted version

12/28/2007 4:11 PM EST

Hello all,

how can we change the default currency in the hosted version of Centric / Concursive? I want to change it from $'s to £'s.

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave,

We would add our voice to your comment also trading in the UK!
(Would also be useful to set the default country to GB!)

Hope we get an answer soon - Quotes look very cheap in US$!

Best regards

I do not know that currencies can be changed in the hosted version of ConcourseSuite but just for future reference the currency can be changed in the community and enterprise editions in the admin module.

So you would go to Admin > Configure System and you will see the place to edit the currency, which edits the build.properties file of your system.

I will ask the people who manage our Hosted systems can this be edited within your instances or is this fixed.

Brandon,

Have you got any further with an answer to this question?

Currently there is no support for changing the currency or language with an ondemand system, since those properties are only stored at the system level. I believe support for customization for individual ConcourseSuite accounts is planned, but since it is a high level of effort to make this change without breaking backwards computability it will probably not appear until a future minor or major release.

Thanks for the update Lorraine

Appreciate the US$ market is most likely to support your market share, but North America only accounts for 300 million people versus a global population of 6.6 billion.

Having to exclude the public use of the system for financial representation to European and British clients really creates a show stopper for us.

I appreciate you will advise that we can down-load an alternative version to host ourselves. But we went for the hosted version for all the reasons Concursive quote and simply because we did not want to become IT server experts installing additional Apache software to get the Suite running.

Thanks for your comments/help over the past couple of weeks
Stuart
