Dashboards Missing: Concourse Suite 5.0 v1.1

12/13/2007 5:19 PM EST

Concourse Suite 5.0 v1.1
[upgrading from CentricCRM 4.11
WinXP/MySQL(5.0.22-community-nt)

1. I find the following message under the Leads, Pipeline, Accounts, Communications and Help Desk tabs: "The dashboard has not been configured for your role. Please contact an administrator."

After some poking around, I discovered that the Access/View option has to be unchecked for each of these modules in the role permissions in order to activate them. Isn't this backwards?

2. Now that I have upgraded to Concourse Suite 5.0 v1.1, where is the operating (user) manual? I would like to find out how to customize dashboards, and do other things. Snagit-style) animated tutorials, using real business examples, is needed so that our employees can learn this software on there own, without the administrative staff having to spend so much time with them. The the application Help is shockingly inadequate for an application of this magnitude.

3. Other than the above, "so far so good" !

Thanks

When an upgrade is made, the product typically does ~not~ automatically turn on features and permissions... that is left up to the administrator. With that said, it's strange that the dashboards are shown after the upgrade and you are required to go to the admin module to determine which roles have access to the particular dashboard. So there are two places... one to enable Dashboards per role, and then another area in which the dashboard tabs must be granted role permission.
