Running as separate servers

3/25/2012 7:51 PM EDT

Hi All,

I am a student researcher and I am looking at running each module of CentricCRM as separate servers on different machines or VMs. Appreciate if anyone could tell me if it's possible to do that and if yes how to do it.

Thanks,

Ashiwan

Hi Ashiwan, if you mean running the same database across multiple web instances of CentricCRM, then that isn't supported.

Running on separate servers requires ConcourseSuite 6, two differently packaged .wars of the application and a plug-in for remote indexing. The configuration then allows you to host any number of instances against the same database.

Upgrading to ConcourseSuite 6 is becoming more of a reality for CentricCRM instances especially if you use MS SQL or PostgreSQL. We're testing it in our labs but it has taken considerable effort and cost.
