Account not showing up in view account

I can create accounts, they appear under Most recent new account on my dashboard, but not under "view accounts", Same problem with contacts. any idea why?

I have added account and contact and everything worked fine, but i added one today and it did that.

I can access the account in question, through my dashboard and add quote or any information. But it will just not show up under "View account".
Also if i add a quote for example through the Quote tab, i cannot select the account in question because it does not show up anywhere by in my dashboard.

The accounts are read from a search index in most places and this appears to be unavailable. Try going into Admin, then Check System Resources, then review the Lucene RAM Index and Lucene Disk Index. Next to each there is a 'Reindex' option which you can try.

If that fixes it then you might have another problem and you would have to review Tomcat's logs directory and either catalina.out or stdout.txt files. It could be a file directory permission.

Thank you that fixes the issue, I will have to look and see the log for a permanent fix
