ConcoureSuite Community

Hi, My company deals in network infrastructure services and reselling. We would be interested in becoming resellers of CRM as a part of our future business plan. Before that we are planning to develop a CRM for our organisation using community editions of one of the well known CRMs. Due to nature of our business we will be letting our vendors and clients use some functionalities of our CRM. My question is if we were to use ConcoureSuite Community CRM, could we open it to our clients/ vendors as well? I understand that the community license restricts distribution of software as code or service, so I raised the concern. Thanks

Your understanding of the Centric Public License is correct - you cannot redistribute the Community edition. There is functionality in our CRM that allows you to open a portal to account contacts and give them limited access to your system. That access includes initiating and following the progress of tickets, access to document libraries that you grant permission to and access to specific projects in the project management module for online collaboration. This functionality is granted freely in our Enterprise version and works the same way in our Community version.

Thanks for your reply, that was helpful. Is there a demo link for the community edition? I'd like to try it before i download it. thanks

Yes - click the Solutions tab at the top and you'll see six different live configurations of our Community software. You can register, enter a business, start groups, add ideas, etc.
