We'd like to see the ability to Clone assets. We offer a service of tracking our customer's assets and service contracts. There are many occasions one customer has multiples of a specific part number. Everything is the same except serial number and asset tag. The ability to clone, like so many other modules, would be such a time saver.
Is this on the roadmap?

Good suggestion, and not yet on the roadmap.
It sounds like you are really using the help desk system as it was designed to be used. I'm not sure how many of the greater community are using the Assets capability, but few of our commercial customers seem to be using it. I'll pass it on to product management to see where it might fit in the development process.
Right now we're heavily invested in development of a totally new product, so my guess is it's going to be some time before we can get to it.
