We've tried to make partnering with Concursive simple and painless. In general, there are a few ways that we earn revenue from ConcourseSuite:
- Maintenance (licensing) fees - both enterprise and hosted
- Installation and configuration services
- Development and modification
- Training
- Ongoing support
- Sales of documentation
Here's how the partner program works in general. Our partner program provides the revenue to the partner that performs the work. So if you sell ConcourseSuite, we will provide you a share of that revenue. We will also take a share because we have real and significant costs associated with continued ConcourseSuite development. For all the other categories of revenue, if you perform the work, you keep the revenue, since we have not taken part. If you want us to take part in a very complex installation or modification, we can do that, and we split the revenue.
There is no ongoing cost to becoming a Concursive partner, nor is there a joining fee. The only special requirement is that you will need to send at least one person to be trained here in Norfolk, VA. There are two types of training: sales and development. These courses have been designed to make you more effective and profitable in your sales and support of ConcourseSuite, and to make modifications to ConcourseSuite in a way that allows us to support your code in the future.
Finally, there is a Resellers Agreement, a legal document that outlines the responsibilities of each partner. Those that are really interested in a partnership can get a copy by simply asking.
I hope this provides enough info to get you started in evaluating whether or not to move forward with a Concursive resellers partnership.
